Paris by Un'common: Design, Art, and Taste. Our subjective guide to Paris.

Fair
Maison&Objet is undoubtedly one of the most important industry events of the year. For the team Un'common These days are filled with conversations with architects, presentations of new collections, and meetings with partners and industry colleagues. It's a time of intense work, but when in Paris, it's impossible not to take advantage of the city's charms.

Paris inspires at every turn—from the textures of old townhouses to the way light falls on the marble countertops in local cafes. If you're planning a visit to the French capital, here are the places that stole our hearts during this trip.

1. Walk around Montmartre and lunch at Bouillon Pigalle

A stroll through the winding streets of Montmartre is an absolute classic for us. This bohemian district still holds a magic that inspires creativity. Small galleries, street artists, florists, and local pastry shops abound. After a morning stroll, we recommend a French-style lunch at Bouillon Pigalle . This vibrant place serves traditional French cuisine in an unpretentious style. A perfect stop to experience the city's rhythm.

2. Musée de l'Orangerie – Meeting with Monet

If we had to recommend only one museum in Paris, it would be this one without hesitation. The Musée de l'Orangerie . Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" series housed there is an almost metaphysical experience. Exposure to these enormous canvases, in a room flooded with natural light, is the designer's ultimate lesson in composition and color. It's a place where time stands still.

3. Travel is about flavors: Oysters at Opium, La Cabane

We believe that travel is all about flavor. In Paris, it's worth trying local and fresh produce, and oysters are a must-try. We recommend this trusted address: Opium, La Cabane (44 Rue Dauphine) . This intimate spot in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, where quality is paramount, is perfect for an evening glass of wine and a Parisian evening. If all the tables inside are occupied, the waiter might offer you a cozy table outside or even across the street.
